PMtech Engineering can generate CNC data to control automated machinery for fabrication directly from the 3D model Tekla Structures.
CNC (Computer Numerical Control) is a method of automated equipment control used in manufacturing, including milling machines, lathes, laser cutters, and other types of machines. The software analyzes the geometry, dimensions, orientation, and other parameters of the model and then generates the corresponding code for the CNC equipment.
In structural detailing we use Tekla Structures and produces NC files in DSTV format. Benefits of using CNC data created in our clients’ projects:
1. CNC equipment is controlled by numerical values, which allows for high precision and repeatability in manufacturing parts.
2. Automated equipment control reduces the time and effort required for setup and fabrication operations.
3. After finishing detailing in Tekla Structures we could export the NC data as NC files from Tekla Structures to be used by CNC machine tools. Generating CNC data directly from a 3D model minimizes errors associated with transferring information between different systems and devices.
The technologies our engineers use optimize the fabrication process and improve the quality of manufactured parts. The data for the NC files comes from the Tekla Structures model
